Developer Notes:
Please checkout our Youtube Channel where you can find videos going over the latest changes made to the platform.
- The focus of this update is to streamline the transition to a more recent and stable framework for the Cyberschool Platform - one focused more intensely on security and optimization
- Please take a look at each section and email our Support Department with any questions or concerns at support@iescentral.com.
We are continuing to work on issues throughout Cyberschool. Thank you to everyone who has brought their feedback to us so that we can work to make it better.
- The single most important part of this massive update was the transition from an older and deprecated framework versioning to a more recent and stable framework. This new framework offers significant increases to stability and optimization for all users - both logged in and logged out
- The Primary focus on the transition was to maintain the status quo - we are working diligently to ensure that there is no dissection of service throughout the platform; this is why we have so quickly released a patch that addresses many areas that were affected by the switch
- This new Framework version offers more to the platform that has yet to be implemented, stay tuned for future updates that make your time in the platform easier
- Another major part of the transition and the update was to Optimize user experience while visiting the website. This extends to repeated visitation as well.
- We spend all hours of our day working towards making the platform faster and more responsive ( in terms of server response and not mobile responsive ). Early analytics have reported a drastic increase in server response and load times appear to be much quicker as well. This, of course, has been accomplished from a minor update, we have more planned and testing has already shown even more good results.
- We can't discuss Optimization without also discussing updated content. Currently, we are looking at better communication between end-user and content. This means that content is updated for the user quicker and is less likely to be "stuck in the cache" and require user cache clearing.
- Aside from Framework and Optimization, the latest update has fixed a few nuances on the site after the initial framework update.
- Calendar and Event interactions have improved - we've gotten reports of issues with Recurring and Extended Events, especially when changing the calendar view
- Issues with Logging In have been improved, there are many ways that logins can occur, we believe we've accounted for most of them; however, if you continue having issues getting logged in, please reach out to us
- Issues in the My Explorer File System, those dealing with viewing posts/files or managing your posts/files have been resolved.
- New Navigation Editor Issues should be resolved as well. After a few months of a soft launch of the New Navigation Editor, we've moved forward with removing the Old Navigation Editor. The Old, and reliable, previous navigation editor was running on a deprecated system. We are still working on excising the remaining pieces of deprecation within the framework.
